<p>Family-owned and -operated, Dave's Deerfield Citgo has a lot more than gas to offer customers. Drivers pulling over at 1460 Waukegan Road, will probably be greeted by Dave or one of his relatives. Since it's located down the road from Deerfield High School, there is a lot of student activity at the station. That is one of the reasons why a $500 college scholarship is handed out each year. The Deerfield Citgo was also deemed the first green gas station in the nation, an award handed down by the Green Business League. </p>
