Established in 1969, Prairie Junior High School provides a variety of educational and extracurricular programs for students in grades seven and eight. The school offers classes in a variety of subjects, such as foreign languages, social studies, science, math, industrial arts and music. It participates in a range of sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball and cheerleading. The school s staff is comprised of a principal, counselor, secretary, literacy coach, nurse, specialist, custodian and several teachers. It is a part of Alsip, Hazelgreen and Oak Lawn Elementary School District 126, which is comprised of elementary and junior high schools. Alsip, Hazelgreen and Oak Lawn Elementary School District 126 has a staff of more than 180 educators who provide education to over 1,600 students. Prairie Junior High School is located in Alsip, Ill.
