Spoon River College provides educational courses to more than 4,000 students in Canton, Ill. It provides more than 30 career and technical programs, continuing education, and business and industry training. It offers associate in arts degree in subjects, such as art, communications, criminal justice, drama, English, history and political science. It provides associate in science degree in various subjects, including agriculture, biological science, chemistry, mathematics, physics and physical education. It also offers certificates in electronics technology, graphic designing, machine tool operations, medical coding, network technician, nursing assistant and advanced welding. Its sports activities include basketball, softball and baseball. The college s other activities include athletics, drama, literary magazine, student senate and honors program. The college offers financial aid through grants, loans, student work-study programs and scholarships. In addition to the Canton and Macomb campus, Spoon River College also has Havana and Rushville center buildings in Illinois.
