Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, opened in 1974, is one of the most art decorative museums in the United States known for its collection of classic automobiles, including Duesenberg, Packard, Cord, Cadillac, Auburn and Rolls Royce. The museum is a nonprofit and educational institution, owned by the nonprofit Auburn Automotive Heritage. It contains historic written and printed materials, vintage photographs, owner s manuals, parts lists, specification charts, books, trade and popular periodicals, videos, print advertisements, sales catalogs, electrical diagrams, service bulletins, body drawings, manufacturer histories and paint color descriptions. The collection grows through donations and purchased acquisitions. The public reading room is open throughout the year. The museum s store known as The Duesy Shop, stocks a number of items in its product line that are derived directly from the museum s artifact collection or from archival holdings. The museum is included in the National Register of Historic Places and is located in Auburn, Ind.
