Fountain City, IN
Fountain City, formerly Newport, is a town in Wayne County, Indiana, United States. The population was 796 at the 2010 census. It was formerly known as Newport. Quaker abolitionist and Underground Railroad leader Levi Coffin lived there from 1826 to 1847.
Fountain City is located at 39°57′16″N 84°55′12″W / 39.95444°N 84.92°W / 39.95444; -84.92 (39.954525, -84.919890).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²), all of it land.
