Advanced Surface Microscopy is an independent analytical/contract research laboratory that is dedicated to providing analytical services, research and consulting to developers, producers and users of advanced materials and devices. In theory, the Advanced Surface Microscopy can examine any surface that can be touched. Since 1990, it has provided more than 1,000 analytical projects for 200 plus customers, examining in excess of 100 types of materials and devices. In 1994, ASM became the first lab outside of Digital Instruments to make a tapping mode phase image and to recognize that it was important for materials analysis. Advanced Surface Microscopy has an office in Indianapolis.
