Wylie Hall
Wylie Hall, established in 1884, was the first building constructed on the new Dunn's Woods campus of Indiana University. Originally housing the library and the chemistry department, it is now home to the IU Department of Economics, LAMP, and a UITS STC computer lab. Designed by architect George W. Bunting, Wylie Hall underwent significant reconstruction after a fire in 1900, transitioning from a two-story building with a tower to a three-story structure. The rebuilding process involved architects Louis H. Gibson and John Nichols, who faced various challenges, including issues with subcontractors and construction quality. Generated from the website
