Established in 1956, Holy Redeemer School, a part of the Catholic Diocesan School System, serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. It offers a variety of academic and extracurricular options for the mental, physical and social development of students. The school also educates students in the areas of family life and psychosexual development. Its physical education program focuses on the development of motor skills and coordination and includes group play activities. Holy Redeemer School also offers various sports programs that include wrestling, basketball, soccer, softball, baseball, cheerleading, volleyball, and track and field. In addition, it organizes and participates in several dance competitions, musical performances and interclub championships. The school is located in Evansville, Ind., and is accredited by the Department of Education of the State of Indiana and is a member of the National Catholic Education Association.
