Founded in 1969, South Putman Junior-Senior High School serves students in grades 7 through 12. It operates various academic departments, such as agriculture studies, business education, English, fine arts and industrial technology. The school additionally offers courses in foreign languages, science, social studies and physical education. South Putman Junior-Senior High School has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, swimming, wrestling, softball, volleyball, and track and field. It supports several organizations that include the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), National Honor Society (NHS) and student council, as well as chess, drama, history explorers, Latin and yearbook clubs. The school is located in Greencastle, Ind., and is a part of the South Putnam Community School Corporation.
