Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Marry is a nonprofit organization, based in Dubuque, Iowa. The members of Sisters of the Presentation are Catholic women who dedicate their lives in promoting and spreading the teachings of Jesus. In Dubuque, more than 100 sisters are involved in educational and pastoral ministries, community prayer and service, and involving new members. The history of the Sisters of the Presentation in Dubuque traces back to Cork, Ireland. Established in 1775, by Nano Nagle, the community was known as the Sisters of Charitable Instruction of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. More than 2,000 sisters and volunteers work for the community in over 23 countries, including New Foundland, Bolivia and the United states.
