Incorporated in 1966, SEK-CAP (Southeast Kansas Community Action Partnership) is a private, nonprofit community action agency. The agency serves more than 5,600 individuals in the state of Kansas. SEK-CAP offers early childhood education and Head Start programs for children up to the age of 5. The agency also provides a variety of transportation, housing, and family and community services. SEK-CAP receives funding from the United Way of Crawford County and Older American Nutrition Program. Additionally, the agency serves people with low income. SEK-CAP is a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Community Action. In addition, the agency offers the S.T.A.R. Program.
