KETCH is one of the leading providers of human services in the United States. Located in Wichita, Kan., the agency has been operational for more than 50 years. Formerly known as Wichita Training Center for the Retarded, it serves more than 20,000 individuals annually. KETCH offers a wide variety of community-based and in-house activities, such as swimming instructions, art classes, horseback riding, shopping, cookery classes, computer games, dancing, story hour, picnics, potlucks and barbecues with resident seniors and gardening. The agency also offers work opportunities in various areas, including electrical assembly, mailroom services, packaging and assembly work, binding, filtering, textiles, candle making and other vocational areas. Additionally, it offers adult life skills program, employment opportunities, job coaching and development, follow-up services, skilled nursing facilities, physical and occupational therapies and transportation solutions.
