Buckhorn Children and Family Services is a private, nonprofit agency and social service and welfare organization. The organization is located in Buckhorn, Ky., and provides various programs and treatment to children and families suffering from behavioral and developmental disorders. It also provides assistance to homeless children suffering from substance abuse problems. The organization provides psychiatric treatment, foster care and adoption, and transitional living and community support programs for young adults. Buckhorn has served more than 700 children and families in Ohio and Kentucky through various programs, such as Treatment Foster Care, Residential Treatment and Residential Care for Children with Chemical Dependency. It also offers adoption programs and therapeutic treatment to children of ages 10 to 18 years suffering from drug and alcohol abuse issues. It provides psychiatric evaluation, behavioral intervention, case management and family behavior support programs. Buckhorn is a member of the Ohio Association of Child Caring Agencies, the Children's Alliance of Kentucky and the Child Welfare League of America.
