Built in 1984, the Capital Plaza Hotel, located in Historic Downtown Frankfort, exemplifies the tradition of Kentucky hospitality. The hotel is located 2 blocks from downtown shopping, entertainment, restaurants and attractions such as the Buffalo Trace Distillery, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Keeneland Race Course and Capital City Museum. It overlooks the Kentucky River and the Frankfort Convention Center, and is two miles from the State Capitol. The hotel has over 180 guest rooms that feature armoires, executive desks, and cable television with HBO. All rooms have complimentary amenities such as high-speed and wireless Internet, voice mail and data ports, in-room coffee, hair dryers, in addition to irons and ironing boards. The Capital Plaza Hotel is located in Frankfort, Ky. and was bought by Stonebridge Hospitality in 2005.
