Henderson Water Utility is operated by the Kentucky Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Agency, which is administered by the government of the state of Kentucky. Henderson Water Utility operates a wastewater treatment plant and more than 50 pumping stations. Its wastewater collection service covers various sanitary and combined storm sanitary sewers. The system also manages over 10,000 service connections that flow to pump stations. Its wastewater treatment plant provides services to nearly 35,000 residents and industries in Henderson and Corydon, Ky. The system offers various primary and secondary water treatment services that include screening, grit removal and sludge disposal. Henderson Water Utility offers a one-time-a-year sewer credit service that includes the filling of swimming pools. In addition, it operates a training facility, as well as offers customer care services.
