Nikita Lalchandani Day, M.D., is a pediatric gastroenterologist with Norton Children's Gastroenterology. Dr. Lalchandani Day earned her medical degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She completed her residency at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, and her fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She is board certified in pediatrics. Dr. Lalchandani Day provides care for children and young adults with stomach, liver and nutrition issues, and believes in caring for the whole child and their family. She knows that stomach and nutrition issues can affect a child’s daily life and works hard to help her patients feel better and live well. She is especially interested in nutrition and global health. She has experience caring for children with complex nutrition needs, including those who rely on IV nutrition. She has also worked in international health settings, such as rural clinics in Haiti and health advocacy programs in the Philippines. Outside of work, Dr. Lalchandani Day enjoys traveling and has visited over 30 countries. She also loves trying new restaurants, doing yoga, and spending time with her husband and children. Her family enjoys cheering for their favorite sports teams, including the Saints, Cardinals, Lakers and Blues.

Sara B. Cochran, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville. Sara is dedicated to providing high-quality and compassionate care to the children she treats. She prioritizes patient and family education to ensure they understand the situation and care plan. Sara is originally from Springfield, Kentucky. Outside of work, she volunteers her time to fundraise and support local firefighters. She finds joy in traveling to new places and spending quality time with her loved ones.
