Minneapolis is a city in and the county seat of Ottawa County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 2,032. Minneapolis is part of the Salina Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Minneapolis is located at 39°7′29″N 97°42′19″W / 39.12472°N 97.70528°W / 39.12472; -97.70528 (39.124719, -97.705209). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.7 square miles (4.5 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,046 people, 810 households, and 512 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,173.6 people per square mile (454.0/km²). There were 914 housing units at an average density of 524.3 per square mile (202.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.97% White, 1.32% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.05% Asian, 0.29% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.52% of the population.
