Beattyville is a city in Lee County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,193 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Lee County.
Beattyville is located at 37°34′38″N 83°42′35″W / 37.57722°N 83.70972°W / 37.57722; -83.70972 (37.577299, -83.709776). It is also located at the confluence of the North, Middle and South Forks of the Kentucky River, which meets the Ohio River at Carrollton.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), of which, 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) of it is land and 0.50% is water.
