Evarts is a city in Harlan County, Kentucky, United States. The post office was opened on February 9, 1855 and named for one of the area's pioneer families. The population was 1,101 at the 2000 census and was estimated at 1,027 in 2008.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), all of it land.
