Established in 1984 by the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, St. Michael the Archangel High School is a coeducational school that conducts classes in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes English, language arts, math, science, social studies, reading, art, music, career and technology studies, and health and physical education. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Louisiana State Department of Education. St. Michael the Archangel High School administers various athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Located in Baton Rouge, La., it operates a library media center that offers a collection of books and resources on various topics. St. Michael the Archangel High School is also a member of Council for the Advancement of Secondary Education and National Catholic Education Association.
