The Episcopal School of Acadiana, located in Broussard, La., is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school for students in classes kindergarten through 12, and serves more than 500 students. Founded in 1979, its aim is to ensure that its graduates are accepted into leading colleges in the United States. It provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, social studies, and science. Students are involved in the life of their school, participating in student government, academic competitions, community service, and a variety of student-interest organizations. It offers many team and individual sports, including football, volleyball, basketball, track and tennis. The Episcopal School of Acadiana is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and the Southern Association of Episcopal Schools.
