The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife works to manage, conserve and promote utilization of renewable fish and wildlife resources and their habitats. It is also responsible for the establishment and enforcement of rules and regulations governing fishing, hunting and trapping, propagation and stocking of fishes, acquisition of wildlife management areas, and registration of snowmobiles, watercraft and terrain vehicles. The department conducts various safety programs for hunters, snowmobiles and watercrafts. The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife operates administrative services, resource management and warden services bureaus.
