This was a quick but worthwhile stop on our route 1 roadtrip. There are a couple boards with some history surrounding the fort and then there is obviously the fort itself. Some picnic tables in...

If you are passing through Bath or Edgecomb this is a great quick stop, it is a quick detour of US 1. There is a small gravel parking lot. There are a lot of picnic tables which would be great...

We stopped in and wished we had brought a lunch because there were picnic tables scattered throughout the property with many offering views of the river. Maybe next time.

Nice state park in Edgecomb with Fort Edgecomb. Wonderful round fort at the mouth of the river. The ranger was so helpful and nice and knowledgeable. The park goes all the way down to the river...

We were there in off season ( oct) so could only walk around, but what a lovely spot. Beautiful views!
