Established in 1960, Downeast Elementary School is an educational institution that serves more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade three. The school is a part of the Bangor School System, which operates various elementary, intermediate, middle and high schools. It offers a range of sports activities, such as cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, cheerleading, swimming, hockey, basketball, tennis, softball, baseball and golf.
