Searsport District Middle School is a learning center that offers a variety of academic development options to students. It is located in Searsport, Maine, and enrolls more than 200 children in grades six through eight. The institution conducts classes in various subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. Searsport District Middle School employs a staff of over 40 teachers and paraprofessionals, including a technology integration specialist, speech therapist, guidance counselor, co-curricular coordinator and nurse. It also provides instruction in band, music, chorus, health and physical education, and arts and crafts. The institution offers special education services, as well as has a library that stocks books under several titles. In addition, Searsport District Middle School provides soccer and cross-country playing options. It is a part of Maine School Administrative District 56, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
