The Barrie Camp is a campus program of The Barrie School and offers several activities, such as swimming, riding, sports, nature, arts, crafts, dance, music, dramatics, canoeing, archery and karate. It additionally provides field trips, and overnight and a counselor-in-training program. The camp s facilities include a swimming pool, riding stables, gymnasium, digital video theater, arts and crafts studio, computer center, amphitheater, archery range and playgrounds. The Barrie Camp offers a nine week program for campers, and also provides supervision and transportation services. The camp offers campers on-site specialty programs, including a program for developing interpersonal skills program. The camp is located in Silver Spring, Md.

Banner School the-Middle

Established in 1982, Banner School offers liberal arts education for students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school offers a program composed of language arts, math, science and social studies. Classes in art, music, Spanish, French, computers and physical education are essential components of the curriculum at every grade level. Each year there is an immersion topic where students in all grades study and explore a period of history or a special topic of current interest. Students have opportunities to join the chorus, an instrumental band, the drama club, the sports academy and numerous athletic teams. The Banner School also fields interscholastic teams in soccer, volleyball, basketball and track and field. It organizes a summer camp, an extended care program and provides financial aid facilities. The Banner School is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education and accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland Schools. The school is in Frederick, Md.
