The Harwood-Lothian Fire Station, located in Lothian, Md., is a part of the emergency medical services division of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The emergency medical services division provides emergency and nonemergency medical services to the citizens of Anne Arundel County, Md. The fire department operates more than 25 fire stations, which is staffed by over 800 career and nearly 450 volunteer firefighters and emergency medical services personnel. It serves a population of over half million. The department also responds mutual aid with the Baltimore Washington International Airport; Annapolis, Md.; and Baltimore. It operates through its advanced life support units, basic life support units and collapse team.
