Founded in 1940, St. Ursula School serves more than 700 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school teaches reading skills to its elementary students through phonics instruction. Additionally, the school conducts classes in Bible studies, arts, music, physical education, library skills, Spanish, science and computer applications. In addition, the school has a library and media center that provides a variety of resources, such as books, journals, magazines and Internet access. It operates fine arts, computer applications, and health and physical education departments. The school organizes a range of fundraising activities, such as Burger King Night and Box Tops for Education. St. Ursula School is located in Parkville, Md.
