Wisp Resort is a year-round golf and ski resort located in McHenry, Md. Wisp has one of the world's largest most energy efficient snowmaking systems with computerized weather and pumping stations. Its golf course is an 18-hole, par 72, championship golf course. Along with skiing, snowboarding and golf, Wisp features the 102-suite, 67-room Wisp Resort Hotel & Conference Center. During ski season, each room has its own conveniently located ski /boot locker. Wisp Resort lies in the heart of Garrett County, the western most and largest county in Maryland. It is adjacent is Deep Creek Lake, the largest inland lake in the state, with more than 65 miles of shoreline. Wisp is less than a three hour drive from the metropolitan areas of Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh.
