Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, also known as FDNH, organizes cultural and educational activities and creates economic opportunities. Established in 1965, the organization employs more than 100 individuals and serves over 1,000 children, youth and adults each year. Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses features programs in adolescent development and early, alternative and adult education. Its adolescent development program includes sports and recreation, academic support, community service, arts and crafts, job training and affinity groups. The organization features a variety of recreation activities, including ping pong, darts, billiards, board games and cooking classes. With several locations in Dorchester, Mass., Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses also operates a preschool.
