Founded in 1972, The Hockomock Area YMCA is a nonprofit charitable community service organization of men, women and children of various ages, ethnic origins, religious affiliations and socioeconomic levels. It supports and organizes more than 750 programs in a variety of fields, such as dance, computers, child care, aquatics, arts and humanities, health and fitness, sports, families, adventure, and party and fun. The Hockomock Area YMCA provides services in the communities of Bellingham, Mansfield, North Attleboro, Plainville, Foxboro, Milford, Sharon, Franklin, Millis, Walpole, Hopedale, Norfolk and Wrentham, Mass. It also operates skateboard parks for community youth in North Attleboro and Franklin, Mass. The YMCA provides more than 3,000 scholarships to children every year. The Hockomock Area YMCA maintains a location in Foxboro, Mass.
