Established in 1826, the Immaculate Conception Church became the second church in the Archdiocese of Boston. Masses are held in English and Spanish and are led by Fr. Timothy J. Murphy and Rev. Charles Bourque, respectively. The parish offers a religious education program with pre-K to fifth grade classes meeting immediately after Sunday's 8:30 am mass.

The church also contributes to the community through charitable work with LifeBridge in Salem and My Brother's Table in Lynn. The Thrift Shop in the lower church is open Thursday from 8 to 11:45 am. All proceeds benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The Parish office is located in the school building next to the church and is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 4 pm
