Founded in 1793, Williams College is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Massachusetts. It enrolls more than 1,500 in various academic programs. The college offers classes in sociology, music, math, English, astronomy, biology and public health. Williams College also provides graduate programs in policy economics and history. It features a bookstore and library and operates an honor system committee. The private college additionally operates humanities, sciences and social sciences divisions. Williams College offers tutorial programs and career counseling services. It also maintains a college council and conducts fundraising activities.
