Accokeek is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, located about 8.5 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. The population was 7,349 at the 2000 census. It is home to Piscataway Park.
Accokeek is located at 38°40′20″N 77°1′5″W / 38.67222°N 77.01806°W / 38.67222; -77.01806 (38.672216, -77.018072). Accokeek is located directly across the Potomac River from Mount Vernon, the home of President George Washington.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 23.4 square miles (60.7 km²), of which, 22.4 square miles (58.1 km²) of it is land and 1.0 square miles (2.6 km²) of it (4.31%) is water.
