PVS Transportation was formed as a new subsidiary of PVS Chemicals in November 1996, combining bulk-trucking operations of PVS Nolwood and Dynecol. Since then, the number of its employees has grown from 28 to more than 60. Its Detroit terminal brings in rail, ship trucks with space for 25 cars. The terminal can store up to 462,000 gallons of hydrochloric acid, 60,000 gallons of sulfuric acid and 115,000 gallons of liquid caustic soda. PVS Chemicals, the parent company, is a global manufacturer, distributor and marketer of chemicals and related environmental services. PVS Chemicals and PVS Transportation are both based in Detroit.
