YWCA of west central Michigan offers services that address the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, as well as empowerment programs for girls. Programs offered by the organization include girls incorporated, crisis and counseling, and residential services. It offers girls between 9 and 18 years of age opportunities in math, science, technology, sports and various other extracurricular activities. The residential services offered by the YWCA of West Central Michigan are designed to provide emergency and long-term support to domestic violence survivors and their dependent children. The organization is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, and are financially supported by the Heart of West Michigan United Way, federal government, state of Michigan, county of Kent, city of Grand Rapids, and various corporate and individual contributors.
