Oaklawn has a team of speech pathologists well versed in treating both adult and pediatric populations. They see patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Our speech pathologists brings extensive experience and expertise in Parkinsonian speech and swallowing disorders, and Acquired Speech and Language disorders, as well as being certified in LVST “Big and Loud” designed to treat patients with Parkinsons Disease.

Macey earned her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University located in Kalamazoo, MI. She joined Oaklawns Rehabilitation team in 2016. She is board certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.Macey primarily provides outpatient treatment for the pediatric population. Her practice includes motor speech disorders, reading and writing disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), feeding intervention, and stuttering. Additionally, she provides dysphagia evaluations and performs Videofluoroscopy Swallow Studies for the adult population. She has a certification in Oral Beckman Protocol, used for oral-motor impairments and used The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (K-SLP) as a treatment approach for childhood apraxia of speech (CAS).
