Based in Brethren, Mich., Kaleva Norman Dickson School District is comprised of elementary and middle schools, and serves more than 800 students. Its academic curriculum includes mathematics, reading, science, writing, social studies, English and foreign languages. The school district provides various community education programs, including computers, law, yoga, stained glass painting, jewelry making, and arts and crafts for children in grades three through six. Its community education programs also include digital photography, creative writing, French, cooking, the Internet, genealogy and pottery. The school district has a printing child development center that is sponsored by the Manistee County School Management Cooperative and offers child care and preschool programs.
