The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to stabilizing and empowering Michigan families by providing utility assistance to vulnerable residents. Since its inception in 1985, THAW has distributed over $238 million in assistance to more than 331,000 households, focusing particularly on families with children, seniors, and veterans who are particularly vulnerable during cold seasons.

In response to the growing need for support, THAW works with 39 agency partners and hosts various community events to raise funds and awareness. The organization is committed to keeping homes safe, healthy, and warm for those facing energy crises, distributing millions in utility assistance each year.
