Bachman's Nursery Wholesale Center has been in business since 1885, when founder Henry Bachman, Sr., first planted potatoes, lettuce, onions and squash on a plot of land in south Minneapolis, Minn. The firm's headquarters contains acres of floral, gift, garden and landscaping departments. In 1984, Bachman's opened the Nursery Wholesale Center to service the garden center, nursery and landscape industries. The headquarters and wholesale center is located on a 629-acre growing range in Farmington, Minn. Landscape professionals can now choose from a line of nursery stock and hard goods from a 30-acre holding yard. Also located on the Lakeville / Farmington growing range are Bachman's Nursery Field and Container Production operations.
