Farmington Middle School West is an educational institution that enrolls students in grades eight through nine. It employs a staff of more than 70 teachers and paraprofessionals who offer classes in several subjects, including humanities, physical education, math, civics, geography, science, algebra and English. The school also conducts basic learning sessions in arts, music, choir, band, technology German, Spanish and French. Located in Farmington, Minn., it provides various athletic programs, including basketball, hockey, football, baseball, golf, wrestling, swimming, and track and field. In addition, Farmington Middle School West has a Red Cross Club that teaches students first aid skills. It is a part of Farmington Area Public Schools, which owns and operates elementary, middle and high schools.
