The Fridley Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that works to serve and protect citizens, maintain law and order and preserve peace. It operates a communication center that responds to various emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The department is comprised of more than 35 sworn peace officers and 15 full- and part-time civilian staff members. The Fridley Police Department maintains a field operations division that consists of the uniformed patrol officers and nonsworn community service officers. Its technical services division provides information, special projects and investigation services. The department handles various cases related to identity theft, murder, domestic violence and substance abuse. The Fridley Police Department works under the government of Fridley in Minnesota.
