Minnesota Hospital Association is a trade association representing hospitals and health systems in the state. Its lobbyists work closely with members to develop, promote and implement progressive health policy in the state and nation that benefits hospitals' employees, patients and communities. The association keeps members, associate members and trustees informed about important hospital news in the state through a variety of publications and its Web site. It also provides data resources that include annual financial summary data through the Health Information Resources of Minnesota data project and discharge level data through the UB-92 claims data set for members, policymakers and researchers. The association organizes topical conferences and education programs throughout the year on subjects ranging from the impact of a new piece of legislation to yearly coding and critical access updates. It also provides legal and regulatory information to members and their legal counsels on a wide variety of issues, including facility licensure, antitrust topics and Medicare regulations.
