Founded in 1979, Doug Speedling Builders provides a wide variety of high-visibility construction projects, including custom homes, multiunit and commercial projects. Its experienced panelizers prebuild walls using different construction methods and install exterior sheathing on the walls. It also prebuilds staircases, dormers, fireplace chases, decks and porch floors and fly rafters for on-site assembly. It cuts and assembles bearing beams and precuts all-rim sheathing and insulation. It conducts a complete plan review, and checks bearing points, truss lengths, door and window openings and rough openings for cabinetry. Its office staff, including estimators, bookkeeping and human resource personnel and project managers, drafts safety procedures and conducts weekly on-site inspections.
