Public Radio International, also known as PRI, is a nonprofit corporation that produces and distributes a variety of content in the United States. It has partnerships with stations, independent producers and other organizations. Founded in 1983, the company s affiliates' radio broadcasts reach more than 31 million listeners on a weekly basis. Public Radio International broadcasts various radio programs, as well as news, information and classical music. It is a radio network that has a partnership with BBC World Service. The company s programs include America Abroad, Selected Shorts, The Takeaway and The world. Public Radio International additionally works with corporate underwriters to develop underwriting packages.
