Coahoma Community College, established in 1949, offers associate and graduate degrees in business and accounting, industry, allied health, natural sciences, computers, banking, business administration and information systems. It also provides various technical courses to students, including barbering instructor training, collision repair, computer servicing, practical nursing, residential carpentry, respiratory care, cosmetology, hotel and restaurant management, industrial maintenance, and welding and cutting. The extracurricular activities offered by the college include education and English clubs, science forums, science and mathematics symposiums, college band and choir. It provides a variety of sports activities to students, including volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, baseball, softball and soccer. The services offered by the college include financial aid, career counseling, scholarship programs, dining and lodging, and wellness and transportation. Coahoma Community College has a more than 95-acre campus located in Clarksdale, Miss.
