Northwest Rankin High School was founded in 1997 and offers a variety of educational and academic activities to students in grades nine through 12. The school offers courses in various subjects, including accounting, advanced algebra, botany, desktop publishing, economics, world history, and human anatomy and physiology. Its athletics department provides various activities, such as powerlifting, bowling, cross country, cheerleading, tennis, track, volleyball and wrestling. The school s library provides a range of printed and electronic resources to students. Its clubs offer band and young democrats organizations, and French and Spanish clubs. The school also has career and guidance departments. It additionally offers programs in technical writing, public speaking and scientific reasoning. Located in Brandon, Miss., the school is a part of Rankin County School District.
