As a native of North Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Beyer always knew she wanted to serve the community she calls home as she was born at Saint Luke’s North Hospital. When not caring for patients, Dr. Beyer enjoys reading, hiking, playing piano, drinking coffee, traveling the world, and spending time with friends and family.

Jennifer Svetlecic, MD is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician with Saint Luke’s Pulmonary Specialists. Previously, her peers elected her to three terms as chairperson of the Department of Medicine at Saint Luke’s North Hospital, and she served as director of Respiratory Medicine. An advocate for improving the quality of and access to care, Dr. Svetlecic was the first director of medical staff development for Saint Luke’s. She was also the first chair of the Professional Standards and Credentialing Committee. A native of Kansas City, Dr. Svetlecic received her undergraduate degree in biology and medical degrees from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Additionally, she completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UMKC. During her residency and fellowship, she was awarded first place twice in UMKC's research competition. She is the recipient of three awards from the American College of Chest Physicians for her work on complications from lung transplants.
