The Liberty Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that protects the safety of individuals within the city of Liberty, Mo. It educates residents on crime prevention, investigates criminal activity, patrols the community and provides animal control services. The Liberty Police Department also provides crime prevention tips and services for child safety, auto theft, credit card and identity theft, elder fraud, and residential and business security. The department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior. The Liberty Police Department also provides liquor licenses, alarm permits, crime statistics and vehicle registration services.
