South Shelby High School serves students in grades 6 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes programs in English, mathematics, science, industrial technology, agriculture studies, and family and consumer science. The school additionally operates various educational departments, such as computer science, social studies, Spanish and physical science. South Shelby High School has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, including basketball, softball, football, baseball, cheerleading, golf, and track and field. It supports several organizations that include the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA) and student council, as well as band, choir and yearbook clubs. The school is located in Shelbina, Mo., and is a part of the Shelby County R-IV School District.
